Enabling Council
In October 2005, a Council was formed and elected to oversee and promote projects, conferences, workshops and displays, initially in Great Britain and Japan. After consultation, the Council has agreed a Constitution based on advice from the Charities Commission. The officers will be elected annually at an Annual General Meeting where all Members will be entitled to vote.
In 2006-07 the International Arts Collaborative will concentrate on the following:
- Support the Anglo-Japanese project “Joining Hands Across the Water”
- Encourage the focused links between Communities in UK and Japan.
- Lay the foundations of appropriate “learning, sharing and caring” initiatives.
- Advocate the virtues and benefits of `Volunteering` in UK and Japan.
- Promote `Intergenerational` opportunities and activities.
- Raise funds to support International projects.
